Looks like mid-1989 they changed to the 15 amp charging system with a voltage regulator and the headlamps run off the battery so will work ... Then the belt will come off. To put the brake back on apply the pto. Place a business card between the brake pad and the pto bell. Hold it tight and tighten the bolts.
