Back in the early 90s my 4th grade teacher took us on a walking tour of historic Rocklin landmarks like the old cemetery, the (twice) burned down railroad turntable, and this quarry. That memory and love for placer county history has stuck with me into my mid 30s. Seeing it turned into an amusement park just feels off to me.
