Subaru key won't turn

I got the new key made but it doesn't seem to work. My key was definitely pretty worn out, the new one looks much better. But the new key requires just as much effort as the old one. It was only $12 so it was worth a shot but I guess I'll need a new ignition lock. :bonk:
